Scott Kerr, Technical Lead

Why do you think it is important to build a link between Universities & industry?

I went to University after I had already entered the industry, and the contacts I made helped me greatly during my education.

Why did you want to get involved?

I love mad ideas and love working in this industry, so it was hard to say no!

What are you most excited about?

Working for 24 hours solid to see if I can do it!

What do you think the biggest skills challenges & changes are going to be over the next couple of years?

I certainly think the adoption of AI and using it in the right way, one thing that AI will certainly make easier is hiring people with software development skills as AI will mean these skills are less important.

What do students have to look forward to?

They will get hands on with cutting edge technology and the chance to work with some of the nicest people in the industry.

What do you think the industry will gain from being involved in On Air?

A chance to work alongside students and spot potential talent.
